LADRILHADA Printed Throw - Terracotta and black on raw linen
€145.00 EUR - €185.00 EUR
This new Throw is in a thick raw linen, ideal for adding extra weight and texture to your home. The prints are inspired by moorish tiles that are so common in Lisbon and Algarve, where we base a lot of our work on.
A bit of context around the new A/W21 collection:
"Growing up in Algarve and now living in Lisbon, as a designer I am naturally drawn to the moorish influences that are so prevalent in this country. It's beauty and symmetry intrigue me and it's compositions and tonalities bring warmth to the environment.
The new collection, called Ladrilhada, stems from the word 'ladrilho', meaning 'tile' or 'brick', commonly used in Portuguese to refer to wall or floor tiles. A tiled floor made of 'ladrilho' would be said to 'have been ladrilhado' (verb), a feminine version of this (since in Portuguese we conjugate according to the item or space being either fem/mas) would be 'ladrilhada', ie. a throw is feminine in Portuguese therefore we would say that it's a 'manta ladrilhada' (tiled throw)."
This raw linen throw has been handmade in our studio in sunny Lisbon onto excellent heavy-weight linen with lino-cut blocks.
It is your best companion for adding some colour to your bed or as a layer to cuddle with on sofa this winter. It can also be used as a dinning cloth, a beach/picnic towel or simply as decor on your wall
